About
Matt is married to Rosie and has four adult children, two sons and two daughters, and is also a grandfather. He loves coffee, has backyard chooks and enjoys landscape photography.
Over the past 30+ years, Matt has worked as a youth pastor, truck driver, chaplain, builders labourer, youth worker, plant operator, and leadership trainer (in no particular order and often at the same time). For much of that time, he was also involved with a couple of NFP mission organisations; Youth Ministries Australia and then AccessTheStory. It was during this time that Matt discovered and fell in love with story telling.
Why Story telling? “Because stories are powerful. They help to shape who we are, our understanding of the world around us, and our relationships. What I am most passionate about is helping people to discover-or rediscover-God’s Story.”
Matt will be the first to tell you that he is not an expert! “I am really just a co-learner… just an ordinary guy working out how to do life as a follower of Jesus.”
He currently serves on the Board of ATS and occasionally speaks at various events and churches.
